River Aid

Charles Blank is the Founding Executive Director of River Aid San Antonio, a nonprofit organization working to restore the health of our city’s urban waterways through hands-on cleanups, ecological restoration, and public engagement. Since establishing the organization, Charles has mobilized thousands of volunteers, built cross-sector partnerships, and helped drive a new culture of environmental responsibility across Bexar County with thousands of volunteers. 

A seasoned nonprofit leader with a background in communications and environmental advocacy, Charles blends strategy with grassroots action.

Whether speaking to policy makers or leading a cleanup at sunrise, Charles is driven by the belief that clean water is a right—and that every community deserves a thriving, litter-free creek.
