Congratulations to all the members of the Rotary Club of San Antonio South for their platinum jubilee! It’s heartwarming to see the commitment to service and community over the past 70 years. Our theme of “a platinum celebration leading to a golden future” is inspiring.

For over 70 years the Rotary Club of San Antonio South has served the Southside of San Antonio.

On May 9, 2024, the club came together to celebrate their platinum jubilee. Chartered as the Rotary Club of the Highlands in 1953 the club changed their name around 2012 to encompass more of the southside. Rotary San Antonio South is a very active club with members that have participated for over 40 years. The theme throughout the festivities was, "a platinum celebration leading to a golden future". Onward to 70 more years doing good for our southside community.

The club also celebrated four high school seniors with scholarships for their "service above self" in their homes and communities.

Neveah Barrios from East Central High school received the House of Colour scholarship donated by Malia Pham. Neveah is also the Interact President at East Central. She will be attending Texas A&M University - San Antonio in the fall.
Brayden Thomas a promising Agriculture Business student is looking forward to Texas Tech.
Valedictorian Katherine Alvarado from McCollum High School has set her sights on The University of Texas at Austin where she will major in Computer Science.
And Levi Sanchez will pursue his medical degree while attending The University of Texas at San Antonio.

As we have investing in these four outstanding young adults, we look forward to hearing their success stories as they travel through life.
