The Rotary Club of San Antonio South recently partnered with the San Antonio chapter of Sleep in Heavenly Peace for a meaningful day of hands-on service—helping ensure that no child in our community has to sleep on the floor.

Rotarians from our club showed up strong, working side by side with dedicated volunteers and members of the East Central Interact Club. A special thank you to Mahogany for proudly representing East Central and demonstrating the next generation of service leadership in action. Also thank you to Maya and Gabe from the Advanced Learning Academy and Cast Tech
Together, volunteers spent the day building, assembling, and preparing bunk beds for children and families in need. It was more than just a service project—it was a powerful reminder of the impact we can make when we come together with a shared purpose.
Across San Antonio and throughout the United States, far too many children go without a bed of their own. Many sleep on couches, blankets, or even the floor—circumstances that can affect both their physical health and emotional well-being. Every child deserves a safe, comfortable place to rest and recharge.
That’s where Sleep in Heavenly Peace makes a difference. Their mission is simple yet profound: to ensure that every child has a bed to sleep in. Through partnerships like this one, and with the help of committed volunteers, that mission becomes a reality—one bed at a time.
The Rotary Club of San Antonio South is proud to support efforts like these that directly improve lives in our community. As Sleep in Heavenly Peace continues to grow and expand its reach, we look forward to future opportunities to serve alongside them and make an even greater impact.
