The Rotary Club of San Antonio South, joined by the East Central Interact Club, participated in Wreaths Across America by selling and placing wreaths at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery, continuing a tradition of more than four years. Their efforts helped honor veterans in an older section of the cemetery, where only about 28.6% of the more than 144,000 graves were covered this year.

The Rotary Club of San Antonio South proudly participated in Wreaths Across America on December 13, 2025, continuing a tradition the club has upheld for more than four years.

This year, club members sold more than 100 wreaths, which were placed in an older section of Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery. Because this area of the cemetery receives fewer “designated grave requests”, the club was especially honored to ensure that the men and women laid to rest there were remembered and recognized.

The club was also joined by the East Central Interact Club, whose members helped sell wreaths and deepen youth involvement in this meaningful project. The Interactors sold more than 20 wreaths, making a significant contribution to the effort.

Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery is the final resting place of more than 144,000 souls, and through Wreaths Across America, approximately 28.6% of the graves were covered with wreaths.

Together, Rotary and Interact honored the service and sacrifice of those interred, ensuring their legacy is remembered.
