How We Give Back

Pints for Polio Event

Together, WE end Polio!
World Polio Day is a time for Rotary members, public health advocates, and all who want a world free from polio to come together, recognize our progress in the fight to end polio, and talk about the actions we need to take in order to end polio for good.
We will know that Polio has been eradicated in our lifetime if WE continue to fund the fight.
For more info on the fight EndPolio.org
Join YOUR Rotary club on October 17, as we come together to help protect our children, our grandchildren our neighbors from Polio.

Platinum Celebration and Scholarship Banquet

Congratulations to the Rotary Club of San Antonio South on their platinum jubilee! It’s heartwarming to see their commitment to service and community over the past 70 years. The theme of “a platinum celebration leading to a golden future” is inspiring.

Partner with YOUR Rotary Club as we continue the tradition of laying a wreath on a veteran's grave at Ft. Sam Houston National Cemetery here in San Antonio.

Please help us honor and remember as many fallen heroes as possible by sponsoring remembrance wreaths, volunteering on Wreaths Day, and inviting your family and friends also purchase a wreath.

Purchase a wreath for a veteran or specify a gravesite location.

July we were hopping!! We did a lot of good in the community. We raised some money, Peter Piper, helped the Early Act at Salado, provided school supplies for foster children and had lots of fun!

The Rotary Club of San Antonio South members laid sod with new homeowners, Saturday, July 22, at a new Habitat for Humanity home. We are excited for our forever home to be complete in August, said the couple.

The house will shelter a family of five when complete. It was hot and hard work, but rewarding, said the Rotary members.
YOUR Rotary Club partnered with San Antonio District 3 and Operation Rebuild to assist a local resident in need of yard clean up, Thursday, May 25. Rotarians being Rotarians stepped in to help and even brought along friends to assist.

Thanks for volunteering Marlana Stricker, Rosie Barrera, Ralph Westbrook, Sarah Lucy and Rosie Ramierz.

The city chambers were filled with San Antonio's top volunteer organizations.  On Monday, April 20, 2023, District 3 Councilwoman Phyllis Viagran honored YOUR Rotary Club for their volunteer work on the Southside of San Antonio. YOUR Rotary club has worked tirelessly to improve and impact our city for good.  Thank you, Councilwoman for your recognition.

Also recognized for their volunteer work were other organizations such as CASA and Target.
And we didn't' have to look far to find other Rotarians in these organizations as Rotary is one big happy family, that strives to make the world a better place.
